Appendix D: Windows 7 IP Setup

If a PC running Microsoft Windows 7 is being used as the CorePlus management workstation, the

computer's Ethernet interface connected to the Clavister Security Gateway must be configured

with an IP address which belongs to the network 192.168.1.0/24 and is different from the security

gateway's address of 192.168.1.1.

The IP address 192.168.1.30 will be used for this purpose and the steps to set this up with

Windows 7 are as follows:

1. Press the Windows Start button.

2. Select the Control Panel from the start menu.

3. Select Network & Sharing Center from the control panel.

4. Select the Change adapter settings option.

5. A list of adapters will appear and will include the Ethernet interfaces. Select the interface

that will connect to the security gateway.

6. The properties for the selected interface will appear.
