Carrying out basic settings
Station Search
After the receiver has been switched on for the first time
or reset to the factory settings, it is necessary to carry out
a station search.
This menu may be used to add a station to the list of stations by
entering the corresponding information. However, only make use of
this option once you are familiar with digital transmission technolo-
gy and have access to the corresponding information.
You may choose between the following options for the station
search:
• "Transponder", searches through a channel.
• "Auto search", searches through the channels for all available
stations. Recommended setting.
• "Network Search" looks for programme bouquets.
Ö Select the desired option
Ö In order to start the search procedure, confirm your choice with
the "OK" button.
The stations searched for/set in tuner A are automatically
taken over by tuner B.
Parental lock/password (PIN code)
The following settings can be carried out in the "Parental Lock"
submenu:
• setting the "Parental Lock",
• locking the installation settings ("Install Lock"),
• changing the password.
The password "0000" has been pre-programmed in the factory.
If you would like to call up a protected menu, you will be requested
to enter the password (PIN code).
Ö Enter the password using the numerical keys.
For each number which is entered, a box in the input window is
marked with a star. If you have entered the password (PIN code)
correctly, the selected menu opens automatically.
