Connecting the receiver
Connecting the antenna
The receiver is connected to the antenna via an
antenna cable. You can connect the receiver via
your house antenna or an active or passive DVB-T
antenna.
When connecting a DVB-T antenna, make the
following settings after properly installing the
receiver. (Commissioning: see pp. 33 ff.)
Activating or deactivating voltage at the anten-
na output
ÖPress the "Menu" key.
ÖUse the arrow keys “▼ CH-” and “▲ CH+” to call
up the „Digital TV“ menu.
ÖPress the ”OK” button.
ÖUse the arrow keys “▼ CH-” and “▲ CH+” to call
up the “Config” menu. Press the ”OK” button.
ÖSelect the menu ”System setup“ by using the
“▼ CH-” and “▲ CH+” arrow buttons. Press the
”OK“ button.
ÖUse the arrow keys “▼ CH-” and “▲ CH+” to
call up the "Antenna Power Set" menu.
You may choose between the following options:
• Switched on – provides the voltage to feed an
active DVB-T antenna. At the receiver’s antenna
port, a 5V-voltage is present.
• Switched off – to connect a passive DVB-T anten-
na or roof aerial. No voltage is present at the
receiver’s antenna port.
ÖUse the “ VOL+” and “ VOL-” keys to select
the desired setting.
ÖIn order to exit the menu, press the ”EXIT“ button
repeatedly.
Please note: If ”Antenna short“ is displayed on
the screen, check the antenna cable.
Connect roof aerial or passive DVB-T antenna
ÖConnect the antenna cable's connector to the
"ANT IN" antenna connection on the receiver.
Connect active DVB-T antenna
To use the receiver with an active DVB-T antenna
you must first switch on the voltage at the antenna
outlet (see page 31). In this case, the active DVB-T
antenna receives the required power from the
antenna port of the receiver.
ÖConnect the antenna cable’s connector to the
"ANT IN" antenna connection on the receiver.
Connecting with a SCART-cable
ÖConnect the antenna cable's connector to the
"ANT IN" antenna connection on the receiver.
ÖInsert the SCART cable into the "TV SCART"
SCART connection on the receiver.
ÖConnect the SCART cable to the TV set. Note the
operating instructions supplied for your TV set.
ÖIf you would like to connect a video recorder,
insert a SCART cable into the "VCR SCART"
SCART connection on the receiver.
ÖConnect the SCART cable to the video recorder.

video recorder.
Important! for Video recording with the
DVB-T 774
Ö Before beginning to record, set the volume
of the DVBT receiver to maximum using the
DVB-T receiver remote control.
Ö While recording, you should not make any
functional adjustments to your DVB-T receiver,
since the screen messages will also be recor-
ded.

Attention!
Before connecting, remove all films from the
receiver and the remote control. Otherwise, the
receiver may be damaged or the remote control
may fail to function properly.
Attention!
Only connect the receiver to the mains power
supply once you have properly connected it to all
devices and the antenna.
Attention!
Please pay attention to the instructions given in
the Operating Manual of your active DVB-T anten-
na. Otherwise the receiver could become dama-
ged.
