Change Anti Chalk Cartridge
The device indicates that the anti chalk cartridge is consumed
and needs to be replaced. When the “Anti Calc” symbol
ashes in the display, you have steam ironed for 12 hours.
The preset of the hour meter for steam ironing time
(12:00 hours) is recommended for tap water in the medium
hardness range (8.5 °dH - 14 °dH).
Depending on the hardness of your tap water the anti chalk
cartridge can be used up sooner or later. Ask you water
supplier for the hardness of the water. When the anti chalk
cartridge has lost its effect, it needs to be replaced by a new
one in order to avoid damages to the device.
CAUTION:
• Replace the anti chalk cartridge regularly, in case of
doubt, replace it rather sooner than later. Devices with
chalk damages are excluded from the liability.
CAUTION:
• If you do not have a new anti chalk cartridge at hand,
replace the tap water in the water tank by distilled
water. Then you can continue ironing with the used up
cartridge.
1. Turn off the appliance.
2. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains.
3. Remove the water tank.
4. Remove the anti-scale lter cartridge.
5. Install the scale lter cartridge as described in “Before
Initial Operation”
“Insert Anti Chalk Cartridge”.
6. Before resuming the steam operation, set the hour meter
back to the starting position: Press ANTI CALC for about
5 seconds.
Cleaning
WARNING:
• Always remove the mains lead before cleaning!
• Wait until the machine has cooled down completely!
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water
for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric
shock or re.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth.
• Clean the sole plate and the rest with a slightly damp
cloth.
• Any residual water can remain in the water tank, but
should be poured out if it has been in the tank for a
prolonged period.
