SomeDVDcontaininformationconcerningthetargetgroup.Thismethodis
comparablewiththeratingofcinemalms(„Suitableonlyforpersonsof12years
andover“e.g.).
Ifyouhavethechildlockoptionactivatedaprobablyexistingcorresponding
informationisreadfromtheDVDandcomparedwiththevaluepre-setbyyou.If
aDVDisintendedforanolderagegroupthantheonepre-setbyyou,theDVD
cannotbeplayed.
Thefollowingchildlockoptionsareavailable:
  Kid Saf: Suitableforchildren.
  G: Suitableforallagegroups.
  PG: Thepresenceofparentsisrecommended.Somescenesmaybeunsui-
tableforchildren.
  PG 13: Thepresenceofparentsisstrictlyrecommended.Somescenesmay
beunsuitableforchildrenundertheageof13.
  PGR: Thepresenceofparentsisstrictlynecessary.
  R: Youngpersonsundertheageof17mayonlyviewthislminthepresence
ofanadult.
  NC17: Childrenandjuvenilesundertheageof17arenotallowedtowatch
thislm.
  Adult: Thelmmustonlybewatchedbyadults.
Default
Selectthecommand„Default/Reset“ifyouwanttoresettheplayertothefactory
implementeddefaultsettings.
Anysettingsyouhavemadewillbelost.
IfyouwanttooperatetheDVD-Playerwithachildlocksystem,youmustrsten-
terapassword.Thispasswordsafeguardsthesettingsforthechildlocksystem,
sothatitcanonlybechangedbyyourself.
Password Mode
  On: Apasswordhastobeenteredwheneveranattemptismadetomodify
thechildlockfunction.
  Off: Thechildlocksystemcanbechangedwithoutapasswordbeing
required.
DVB-T Setup
Password
Inthismenuyoucanchangethepasswordforthechildlocksystem.
Inordertochangethepassword,youmustrstenterthecurrentpassword.The
masterpasswordis„1369“.
 NOTE:
Ifyouforgotyourpassword,youcandeactivatethechildlocksystemwiththis
password.
Proceedasfollowstochangethepassword:
1. Enterthepresentpasswordinthe„OldPassword“linewiththeNumerical
buttons (Fig.2/3)oftheremotecontrol.
Topreventthepasswordfrombeingreadbyunauthorizedpersonsonlythe
characters“XXXX”willappearonthescreen.
2. Enterthenewpasswordinthe„NewPassword“linewiththeNumerical
buttons oftheremotecontrol.
3. Conrmthenewpasswordbyenteringitagaininthe„Conrm“line.Conrm
yourentrywiththeENTER-button(Fig.2/7).
 NOTE:
TheDVB-TsettingsmenucanonlybeselectedduringDVB-Toperation.
Zone (location)
Hereyoucanselecttheregionwhereyouarelocated.
Time zone
Hereyoucanselectthetimezonecorrespondingtoyourlocation.Thisissyn-
chronisedbythereceptionsignaltoGreenwichMeanTime(GMT).Theautomatic
settingofthetimeiscarriedoutinaccordancewithyourselection.
InthemajorityofEurope:
Normaltime=GMT+1
Summertime=GMT+2
