Disconnecting clients
To disconnect a selected client or all clients from FileMaker Server:
1. Choose Clients, then select a client in the Connected Clients list.
2. For Actions, select Disconnect or Disconnect All Clients.
3. Click Perform Action.
The Disconnecting Clients dialog box opens.
4. For Message, type the message to send to clients before they are disconnected.
5. For Delay time, enter the number of minutes between when the notification is sent and
when clients are disconnected.
6. Click Send Message.
Clients see a notification dialog box with your message requesting they close their connection to
a file.
If the client hasn’t already disconnected, FileMaker Server disconnects the client when the
delay time elapses.
