Instant Web Publishing settings
You can specify the following Instant Web Publishing settings on the Web Publishing > Instant
Web Publishing tab:
• Enable Instant Web Publishing.
• Set the Instant Web Publishing session timeout value.
• Select the language for the Instant Web Publishing status area.
Notes
• Changing any of these settings requires restarting the Web Publishing Engine.
• Instant Web Publishing requires a FileMaker Server Advanced license.
To specify Instant Web Publishing settings:
1. Choose Web Publishing > Instant Web Publishing tab.
2. Click Save.

Enable Instant Web Publishing Select Enable Instant Web Publishing.
This setting must be enabled to configure the other
settings in this tab.
Set the database session timeout
value
Set a value for Session Timeout.
The Web Publishing Engine disconnects users who have
been inactive for the specified timeout period.
Instant Web Publishing solutions automatically use
database sessions and you cannot disable them.
Select the status area label
language
For Status Area Language, select the language for the
labels displayed in the status area of the Instant Web
Publishing page.
This setting changes the language for all text in the
Instant Web Publishing user interface — for example, the
status area, Instant Web Publishing homepage, forms-
based authentication
, dialog boxes, and error messages.
The status area language setting does not change the
language of data stored in databases.
