ILEMAKER SERVER 9 HELP 82
XSLT web publishing settings
You can specify the following XSLT Publishing settings on the Web Publishing > XSLT tab:
• Enable XSLT Publishing.
• Enable database sessions.
• Set the session timeout value.
• Configure SMTP
information to send email messages in an XSLT stylesheet.
• Select the default character encoding.
Note Changing any of these settings requires restarting the Web Publishing Engine
.
For more information about XSLT web publishing, see F
ILEMAKER SERVER CUSTOM WEB PUBLISHING
WITH XML AND XSLT on the Start Page.
To enable XSLT Publishing:
1. Choose Web Publishing > XSLT tab.
To Do this
Enable XSLT Publishing Select Enable XSLT publishing.
This setting must be enabled to configure the other settings
in this tab.
Choose how errors are
generated
Select one of these modes:
• Development mode: Generate a specific error
page when an error occurs in the Web Publishing
Engine.
Use this mode when you are developing and testing
XSLT stylesheets. You cannot enable server-side
stylesheet caching in Development mode.
• Production mode: Generate a default general text
message in the error page when an error occurs in
the Web Publishing Engine.
Use this mode to use the Web Publishing Engine to
host XSLT stylesheets.
Enable server-side stylesheet
caching
If Production mode is selected, select Enable stylesheet
caching and choose a value for Cache Size.
Server-side caching stores frequently-used XSLT
stylesheets in memory, which increases Web Publishing
Engine performance. The Web Publishing Engine uses
caching only when it is in Production mode.
Enable XSLT database
sessions
Select Enable database sessions.
Sessions are optional in Custom Web Publishing with XSLT.
For more information, see Configuring the interaction
between web sessions and database sessions (page 85).
