ILEMAKER SERVER 9 HELP 161
Ports used by FileMaker Server
When running FileMaker Server in an environment that uses a firewall, be sure to configure the
firewall on each machine to allow FileMaker Server to communicate. The table below lists all the
ports used in a FileMaker Server deployment
.
Note Not all of the ports listed below need to be open to end users or between all machines in a
FileMaker Server deployment. For more information on deploying on multiple machines, see
F
ILEMAKER SERVER GETTING STARTED GUIDE on the Start Page.
End users need only these ports to be open:
• Port 80 for web publishing, or another port if your web server
uses a port other than the
default
• Port 5003 for FileMaker Pro clients.
Admin Console users need ports 16000 and 16001 to be open.
