Enabling web publishing
In this Deployment assistant step, enable web publishing if you want to publish FileMaker databases
to web users. You must enable this feature if you want to use FileMaker Server Custom Web
Publishing or Instant Web Publishing
. For more information, see Using Instant Web Publishing
(page 50), Hosting XSLT websites
(page 47), or Hosting PHP websites (page 45).
To enable web publishing:
1. Click Yes, enable Web Publishing to enable web publishing or click No, do not enable
Web Publishing to disable.
2. Click Next to go to the next step.
Click Back to return to the previous step or Cancel to exit the Deployment assistant.
Notes
• To use web publishing, a supported web server must be installed and activated. For more
information, see F
ILEMAKER SERVER GETTING STARTED GUIDE on the Start Page.
• You can change the web publishing technology settings in Admin Console. However, you
must use the Deployment assistant to enable or disable web publishing as a whole (click
Edit Server Deployment on the FileMaker Server Overview pane).
