ILEMAKER SERVER 9 HELP 119
Managing plug-ins
FileMaker Server can use external function plug-ins with hosted FileMaker Pro databases that are
designed to use server-side plug-ins. When hosted databases use plug-ins enabled on FileMaker
Server, the machine running FileMaker Server can execute plug-in functions rather than client
machines.
Alternatively, FileMaker Server can automatically install or update required or outdated client-side
plug-ins on FileMaker Pro clients.
