Migrating web publishing settings from the previous version 29
Step 6. Verify migration
1. Start the Administration Console by entering the URL in a web browser on any computer that has access to the
web server:
<scheme>://<host>[:<port>]/fmi/config
where:
1 <scheme> is either HTTP or HTTPS.
1 <host> is the IP address or domain name of the host where the web server is installed.
1 <port> is the optional port that the web server is using.
For example:
http://192.168.100.110/fmi/config
http://localhost/fmi/config
https://webserver123.company.com/fmi/config
2. Log in to the Administration Console using the same user name and password that you had used for version 7.
(When the migration is successful, the user name and password for version 8 is the same as the user name and
password you used for version 7.)
3. Check the other pages in the Administration Console to see that your other custom settings have been migrated.
For example, the FileMaker Server page should have the server identifier and server passcode migrated from
version 7.
If the custom settings do not seem to be in effect, try restarting your system again to restart the FileMaker
Server Advanced processes and services, and follow the veriļ¬cation steps again.
