Introducing Custom Web Publishing 17
Where to go from here
Here are some suggestions for what to do and where to find information in the documentation to get started
developing Custom Web Publishing solutions:
1 If you haven’t already done so, use FileMaker Server Administration and the Web Publishing Engine
Administration Console to enable Custom Web Publishing. See FileMaker Server Administration Help
and the
FileMaker Server Advanced Web Publishing Installation Guide.
1 In FileMaker Pro, open each FileMaker database that you want to publish and make sure the database
has the appropriate extended privilege(s) enabled for Custom Web Publishing. See
“Enabling Custom
Web Publishing in a database” on page 19.
1 To learn how to access data in FileMaker databases using XML, see chapter 3, “Accessing XML data
with the Web Publishing Engine.”
1 To learn how to get started developing FileMaker XSLT stylesheets, see chapter 4, “Introduction to
Custom Web Publishing with XSLT.”
