Insert QuickTime
Format
Insert QuickTime [“<filename>”]
Options
Select Specify source file or click Specify to display the Open dialog box where you can
specify the name, file type, and location of the QuickTime file you intend to insert. For
more information, see FileMaker Pro Help.
Web compatibility
This script step is not web-compatible.
Description
Imports a QuickTime movie or sound file into the current container field. If you do not
specify a field, then click in a field or use the Go to Field script step before performing this
script step.
When Insert QuickTime is performed, unless a file is specified with the Specify source
file option, FileMaker Pro displays a dialog box where the user can select and preview the
file to be imported.
Notes
• If there is no active container field on the layout where the script is being performed,
Insert QuickTime returns an error code that can be captured with the Get(LastError)
function.
• This script step requires that QuickTime extension for Windows be installed.
