3. In the Open File dialog box, double-click the name of the related file.
4. In the Edit Relationship dialog box, for Relationship Name, you can
type a unique name for the relationship (otherwise, FileMaker Pro
uses the name of the related file).
Don’t include colons (:) in the name. FileMaker Pro ignores spaces at
the end of the name.
5. Select a match field in the master file and a match field in the related file.
6. Select options for the relationship.
7. Click OK, and then click Done.

file, delete related records (in the
related file)
When deleting a record in this file, also delete related
records. (See “Deleting related records” on page
10-34.) Related records may not be visible on the
current layout.
Add records to the related file Allow creation of related records. (See “Creating
