5. In the Specify Field Order for Export dialog box, change the field
order as needed.
6. If the file you’re exporting needs to consist of a different character
set, choose an option from the Character Set drop-down list.
For example, if you’re exporting data to a Windows application,
choose Windows (ANSI).
7. Select a format option for the fields, and then click Export.
Suppose the current layout has a number field that’s formatted to
display two decimal digits and a currency symbol ($). When you
enter 3.7 into the field, FileMaker Pro displays $3.70 in Browse
mode. You can export the value with or without the formatting.
To Do this
Export fields Double-click a field to move it to the Field Order list. To
export all fields, click Move All.
Export fields from a
related file
Choose a relationship from the Relationship drop-down list,
and then move fields to the Field Order list. (See
“Understanding relationships” on page 10-9.)
Prevent data from
being exported
Select a field in the Field Order list, and then click Clear. To
move all fields out of the list, click Clear All.
Change the export order In the Field Order list, drag the double arrow for the field
name.
