Checking your spelling as you type
As you type, FileMaker Pro can alert you to errors with either a flash in
the menu bar, or a beep.
Checking your spelling as you type is much slower than checking the
entire file at one time.
1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu, and then choose Document.
2. In the Document Preferences dialog box, choose Spelling from the
pop-up menu. Select how you want to be alerted and where you want
the Spelling dialog box to appear.
3. Click Done.
When you’re alerted to a spelling error, you can do one of these:
1 Correct the last word typed.
Choose FileMaker Help Index from the or Help menu, and then type:

Select how you want to be
alerted as you type
Have the Spelling dialog box
appear where you place it
Choose Spelling
