Customizing FileMaker Pro 9-3
Note When using FileMaker Pro on a computer running Windows 3.1,
choose the following from the Network Protocol drop-down list:
1 For IPX/SPX, choose FMIPX32.NET
1 For TCP/IP, choose FMTCP32.NET
If these options are not available, check the FileMaker Pro Installation
and New Features Guide to confirm that network files have been
correctly installed on your computer.
Setting layout preferences
In layout preferences, you set options for the way you like to work in
Layout mode.
Select To
Always lock layout tools Keep a layout tool selected until you select a different one
or press Enter. If you don’t select this option,
FileMaker Pro returns to the arrow pointer after you use a
tool.
Add newly defined fields to
current layout
Add new fields to the current layout when you define them
Create rounded buttons Create buttons with rounded corners using the
