information, see “Indexing fields” on page 2-12.

Finding information in different field types
In specific field types, you can find:
1 text that matches a word, phrase, or a string of characters in a text
field or in a calculation field that produces a text result
1 text characters that aren’t indexed (literal text)
1 numbers in a number field or in a calculation field that produces a
numeric result
1 dates in a date field or in a calculation field that produces a date result
1 times in a time field or in a calculation field that produces a time
result
Note To find data in a container field, create a text or number field that
describes or identifies the contents of the container field. Then find the
value in the text or number field.
