Choosing a network protocol
You must choose a network protocol if you want to use FileMaker Pro over
a network, either as a guest or as a host. For more information about your
network, consult your network administrator.
Important The network protocol setting in FileMaker Pro must be the same
on the host and guest computers.
To choose a network protocol:
1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
You see the Preferences dialog box. If necessary, click the pop-up menu
at the top of the dialog box to choose General.
2. Choose a network protocol from the Network protocol pop-up menu.
Changes to this setting don’t take effect until you quit FileMaker Pro and
then start it again.
