Delete Record/Request
Purpose
Deletes the current record or find request.
Format
Delete Record/Request [With dialog: On/Off]
Options
With dialog specifies whether to display a dialog box when the script step is performed, asking
users to confirm deletion of the record or request.

FileMaker Pro 6.0 or earlier
Description
In Browse mode, this script step deletes the current record. In Find mode, it deletes the current find
request.
To delete Do this
A master record Make sure that the record you want to
delete is active (use navigation script steps),
and then use Delete Record/Request. If the current layout contains a
portal, click
anywhere on the record outside of
the portal to make sure that no related record is
selected, then use Delete Record/Request.
A related record Perform Delete Record/Request in a portal row, or use the Delete Portal Row script
step.
A find request Make sure that the
find request you want to delete is active (use navigation script
steps), and then use De
lete Record/Request.
Important You cannot undo a Delete Record/Request script step.
