Viewing and modifying records in Browse mode
In Browse mode, web users select or tab into fields to add, edit, and delete data. If their account
name and privileges provide access, they can:
1 create records
1 edit records
1 duplicate records
1 delete records
1 import records
1 export records
1 sort the found set (based on fields on the current layout)
1 show all records
1 omit the current record from the found set
1 omit multiple, consecutive records from the found set
1 view the omitted records (and hide the existing found set)
1 create snapshot links
Note Only the Tab key is supported for navigating between fields or objects in FileMaker WebDirect.
Many functions are available through the menu bar and the status toolbar. Hold the cursor over a
button in the status toolbar to see its description. Procedures are documented in
FileMaker
WebDirect Help. (Choose Help menu > FileMaker WebDirect Help.)
After entering or editing data in a record, web users must click anywhere outside of a field on the
layout to commit the record.
