If the phone is disconnected or turned off, the “No Phone
Available” screen appears. (See Figure 2.) (If the phone is
off, you can turn it on by pressing ENTER on the Auto PC.)

As shown in Figure 1, the main components of the screen
include the program icon, time display, the auto-answer
icon, the command prompt, telephone number, and memory
location name.
The command prompt is a useful feature. It tells you what
the system will do next if you press ENTER. The table
below lists and describes the PhoneBase command prompts
that come up at various points in the program.
Command Prompt Description
DIAL Places a call to the number that
appears in the display.
ANSWER Answers the incoming call.
END Ends the current call.
NUMBER Brings up the number edit form.
(Appears when the Scratchpad or
the selected preset location is
empty.)
