Chapter 1—Introduction
Developed by InfoGation Corporation of San Diego,
California, PhoneBase integrates cellular telephone
functionality into the Auto PC platform. The program
provides a hands-free, voice-based interface that allows you
to enter and call numbers, set and store numbers in preset
locations, answer the phone automatically, select and dial
numbers from a list of recently called numbers, and view
call statistics in the Auto PC display.

System Requirements
PhoneBase requires the following—
• Auto PC 1.0 in-car computer running Microsoft
Windows CE for the Auto PC
• A cellular phone interface unit supplied by ORA
• ORA-compatible cellular phone model
• ORA drivers (as provided by ORA on the ORA setup
CD) pre-installed
• Auto PC Service Pack 1.0
