2.2.3.3LaneinformationandSignposts
When navigating on multilane roads, it is important to take the appropriate lane in order to follow the
recommended route. If lane information is available in the m ap data, C larion Mobile Map displays the
lanesandtheirdirectionsusingsmallarrowsatthebottomofthemap.Highlightedarrowsrepresentthe
lanesyouneedtotake.
Whereadditionalinformationisavailable,signpostss ubstitutearrows.Signpostsaredisplayedatthetop
ofthemap.Thecolorandstyleofthesignpostsaresimilartotherealonesyoucanseeaboveroadorby
theroadside.Theyshowtheavailabledestinationsandthenumberoftheroadthelaneleadsto.
Allsignpostslooksimilarwhencruising(whenthereisnorecommendedroute).Whennavigatingaroute,
onlythesignpostthatpointstothelane(s)tobetakenisdisplayedinvividcolors;allothersaredarker.
Ifyouwanttohidethecurrentlydisplayedsignposts,tapanyofthemandthenormalMapscreenreturns
untilnewsignpostinformationisreceived.

If y o u are approaching a freeway exit or acomplex intersectionand the needed information exists, the
mapis replacedwith a 3D viewof thejunction.The lanesyou needto takeare displayed witharrows.
Signpostscanalsobepresentifinformationisavailable.
Ifyouwanttohidethecurrentlydisplayedjunction,tapthepictureandtheMapscreenreturns.
