2.2.2.2Selectedmaplocation(Cursor)andselectedmapobject

Youcanmarkamaplocationinthefollowingways:

 Tapthemapwhennavigating,

 Tapthemapwhenyouareaskedtoconfirmthedestinationattheendofasearch,or

 TapthemapinFindonMap(page51)

When a map location is selected, the Cursor appears at the selected point on the map. The C ursor is

displayedwitharadiatingreddot(

)tomakeitvisibleatallzoomlevels.

ThelocationoftheC ursorcanbeusedasthedestinationoftheroute,anewalertpoint,youcansearch

forPlacesaroundit,oryoucansavethislocationasoneofyourFavoritedestinations.

Youcanalsoselectsomeoftheobjectsont hemap.Ifyoutapthem apattheiconofaPlaceofInterest

oranalertpoint,theobjectwillbeselected(youseearedcirclingborderaroundtheobject),andyouc an

getinformationaboutthisobjectoruseitasaroutepoint.

2.2.3.1Streetsandroads

Clari onMobileMap s hows thestreets in away that is similar to how the paperroad maps showthem.

Theirwidthandcolorscorrespondtotheirimportance:youcaneasilytellafreewayfromasmallstreet.

2.2.3.2TurnpreviewandNextstreet

Whennavigatingaroute,thetopsectionoftheMapscreenshowsinformationaboutthenextrouteevent

(maneuver)andthenextstreetorthenextcity.





There is a field in the topleft corner that displays the next maneuver.Both the type of the event (turn,

trafficcircle,exitingfreeway,etc.)anditsdistancefromthecurrentpositionaredisplayed.

Asmallericonshowsthetypeofthesecondnextmaneuverifitisnearthefirstone.Otherwise,onlythe

nextmaneuverisdisplayed.
