2005 Product Application Guide
Ins and Outs of Clarion’s
www.teamclarion Website
For years Clarion’s Fax Back system has served Clarion’s
authorized dealers well. But did you know there’s an
even better — easier way — for your installers to get
installation support? And no, we’re not talking about
Clarion’s Dealer Tech Hotline ((800) 366-4567).
What we’re talking about is Clarion’s www.teamclarion.com
Extranet site. Yes, this is where storeowners and store
buyers can order and track product. This site also contains
a wealth of information related to vehicle wiring, product
bulletins, and much more. If your installers don’t have an
account, you’re shop is definitely missing out on a key
business tool.
How to Get Started
Storeowners, when you set up your sales staff and
installers with an account you don’t have to worry about
them being able to access your personal information.
Clarion limits what your staff can see based on their title
at the store.
Step 1: Go to www.teamclarion.com and click on the
“Request an Account” selection.
Step 2: Fill out the account request form. This step will
require the store’s account number.
That’s all it takes. From there, Clarion will send an e-mail
within 24 hours to let you know that the account has been
created. Now, let’s take a tour:
Finding Product Manuals:
Step 1: Log onto the www.teamclarion.com and enter
your username and password.
Step 2. From the home page, click on the drop-down
menu located at the top of the screen, and select
“Support.” (Note: The homepage is where Clarion’s
Marketing Department posts its monthly e-newsletters
and press releases.)
Step 3: Once “Support” is selected you will be taken to
another menu screen. Select “Manuals.”
Step 4: Once the page opens you will notice the
Application Guide, Door Lock Diagrams, FAQs, Product
Manuals and Bulletins, and Software Updates are also
stored here. Now, select source units within the
“Manuals” category.
Step 5. The next page that opens will list all of Clarion’s
source units. For example, select the ADB340MP.
Step 6. You will then find the manual stored in four lan-
guages. Select the English version: ADB340MP-ENG.pdf.
Step 7: Once the file opens, you can either save it to your
computer, or print it out.
Getting Wired
To access Clarion’s wiring diagram database, click the
drop-down menu and select “Wiring Info.” Next, enter the
make, model and year of the vehicle you’re looking for.
That’s all it takes.
Guide Overview
Welcome to Clarion’s 2005 Application Guide. This year we’re doing things a little different … think of it as a new direction
for Clarion’s annually published App. Guide. Our goal this year is to provide you with 40 pages of “key points” and “must
mentions” when talking about Clarion’s 2005 Product Line — like we’ve done in previous years. What’s new is “Part 2,” a
CD-ROM geared toward the technical side of Clarion’s 2005 product line.
Part 2 speaks to the importance of computers in today’s business environment — the tool of successful 12-volt dealers. If
you’re not familiar with them, this guide will definitely be a good first step. Stored on this disk are solutions for the guys
and gals in the installation bay, such as an opportunity-driven suggestion on how to take advantage of Clarion’s revamped
2 Zone Entertainment feature, which outfits the all-new iPod-ready VRX755VD.
The CD-ROM also offers system diagrams and in-depth product specs. The best way to take advantage of this great tool is
to have your installers print out the files and start a Clarion product application folder — something they don’t have to worry
about ripping or getting dirty.
