4. INSTALLATION
STEP 7:
Using a 1 2” drill bit, ma e the 1 8” pilot hole a
1 2” hole to allo a little adjustment hen the
to er spea ers are mounted. This ill help in
the e ent of hea y ibration so the ires do not
get pinched.
Once the 1 2” hole has been drilled, please
de-burr the hole so there are not any sharp ed-
ges that can damage the spea er ires. To help
pre ent ire damage, please use a rubber or
plastic hole grommet.
STEP 8:
Connect the to er spea er ires to a length of
spea er ire that ill be long enough to connect
to the source de ice. If the spea er ill be ired
through a hole, begin feeding the iring into the
hole so that the surface mount can be aligned
then s ip to STEP 10. If surface mounting the
iring, proceed to STEP 9.
STEP 9:
If surface mounting the iring, place surface
mount brac et in desired area and drill pilot ho-
les for bolts. Once pilot holes are drilled, attach
surface mount gas et to surface mount brac-
et and slide surface mount up ire to ards
spea er, lea ing only enough space to attach
mount to surface. Feed cabling through side of
surface mount.
STEP 10:
If passing cables through the hole, attach
surface mount gas et to surface mount brac et
and begin fastening surface mount to surface.
Once
completed, feed
remaining iring through
surface and insert mount end into spea er.
STEP 11:
Tighten the hex head shift bolts after rotating the
spea er to desired position.
NOTE:
Blue Loctite is highly recommended hen
installing the hex head bolts.
