What means the most to mobile workers? That everything runs
smoothly. Thus, the main focus of the portable thermal printer
CMP-40L from Citizen is reliability. Its robust plastic housing with
IP54 certification withstands daily challenges, even falls from heights
of 1.80 m. Printing labels and receipts with an adjustable width up
to 112 mm is simple. Upon request, the integrated peeler removes
the backing paper in one step, greatly simplifying handling for users
in retail.
Changing rolls and the battery is just as simple, and takes merely a
few seconds. The clear structure of the color display is user-friendly.
Connect the CMP-40L easily to mobile computers, etc. via the
standard RS232 and USB interfaces. Optionally available are
802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi and Apple MFi-certified Bluetooth, for integrating
the printer wirelessly and seamlessly into the desired working
environment. For greater flexibility, choose between drivers for
Windows, as well as software development kits for iOS and Android.

With the CMP-30 from Citizen, you get a powerful and robust mobile
printer that provides a large range of applications: it creates receipts
and vouchers as well as labels (CMP-30L) using direct thermal prin-
ting at up to 100 mm/sec. and 8 dots/mm (203 dpi). Different media
from 25 to 80 mm width are easily replaced, although regular media
changing is minimised due to the large capacity 56 mm diameter
media rolls.
Through its protection class IP42, the com-
pact mobile printer is absolutely robust
and thus ready to use in a number of
applications in internal and external
areas, while its operational con-
cept and handling leave nothing
to be desired, even for untrained
users. The standard integra-

The CMP-20 is the smallest of the mobile printer family from Citizen
and is second to none in terms of performance, intelligent features
and robust design. The 58 mm (2.3‘‘) variant creates professional vou-
chers and receipts in direct thermal process
at up to 80 mm/sec. and 8 dots/mm (203
dpi). The compact mini printer not only
features perfect handling but also has
an easy method to exchange rolls:
the large receipt roll supply with up
to 48 mm diameter minimises roll
changing, furthermore a new roll is
easily placed in the housing – drop-in
paper loading and sensors do
the rest without wasting paper
for adjustments.
The standard integrated RS232 and USB interfaces (MFi-certified Blue-
tooth for uninterrupted communication with Apple mobile devices and
Wi-Fi optional) guarantee a large range of applications, while the prin-
ter optionally accommodates a magnetic stripe and smart card reader,
giving the necessary flexibility.
Citizen CMP-20

The Citizen CD-S50X is the perfect printer for all POS and industry
applications that require monochrome or colour printing of multi-
layered receipts. High reliability and durability and a sophisticated
printer design are the main advantages of this classic printer model.
To meet different requirements, the CD-S50X is available in various
versions: the low-cost standard version with tear-off edge (CD-S500)
is also available with integrated auto-cutter (CD-S501). In combination
with a cutter, the printer produces cleanly cut receipts. The cutter
makes at least one million cuts – with both full and partial separation.
With high-speed dot-matrix printing, print receipts and logs at up to
six rows per second. The printer accepts different sizes (58, 69 and
76 mm), as well as rolls with up to 83 mm in diameter, and easy
paper loading allows users to complete this task within
seconds. CD-S50X series printers can process up to
two carbon copies, or with the correct ink ribbon
also in two colours (black/red). As all variants of
this printer were designed for the highest pos-
sible performance, they are equipped with a
bi-directional printhead with logic seeking
control. Automatic positioning increases the
printing speed significantly and optimises
the printer’s service life at the same time.
Citizen CD-S50X
An AC adaptor that can be
replaced in only a few steps is
integrated into every standard
CD-S50X model. An extensive range
of interface modules is available in order to
answer requirements with high flexibility.
The printer also features two integrated
cash drawer ports and a built-in buzzer that
indicates an open cash register or printed receipts.
All CD-S50X series printers are fully ESC/POS compatible. Required
drivers for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/2003 Server, Linux and
OPOS are of course included. Its highly adaptable customisation
software and the mini printers’ excellent compatibility always
ensure a smooth switchover.

The Citizen PPU-700II installed printing unit produces receipts at up
to 150 mm per second and 8 dots/mm (203 dpi). It prints paper with
up to 150µ using direct thermal printing, even in two colours, which
makes it the perfect choice for automated ticketing
machines in production, entrance and event areas.
To process paper rolls of 58, 67, 80 or 83 mm, it can
use either its own roll holder or one of the
optional paper feeders (PHU-331S/T).
These can be used to feed extra-large
rolls (up to 203 mm in diameter). Fast
paper handling on the side or from
above is guaranteed. The built-in paper-
end and paper-near-end sensors indicate
required media changes in time.
As an important function for output
of personal data, the presenter function
retracts the receipt again after a predefined delay. An optional version
with integrated black mark sensor for label printing is also available. A
variety of interfaces (parallel, RS232, USB, Ethernet) guarantees fast
integration into existing systems.
Citizen PPU-700II

The compact installation printing units Citizen PMU2200II/2300II
produce receipts at up to 150 mm per second and 8 dots/mm
(203 dpi) using direct thermal printing. They can process rolls
with a width of 50, 60 (PMU2200II) and 80 mm
(PMU2300II), a maximum paper thickness of 150µ
and variable roll diameters of up to 102 mm.
The operating temperature range of -20
to +60°C enables particularly demanding
applications. Fast paper handling as well
as various mounting options for the rolls
and printing units provides a degree
of flexibility that is especially required
with installations in machines and kiosk
systems. Depending on its application,
a horizontal and a vertical variant can
be used, with the paper supply placed
behind or below the unit. The entire mechanism can be accessed
easily at any time, allowing technicians to resolve paper jams within
seconds. Paper can be refilled from almost every side, even the
print head is very easy to clean.
An optional label printer version with integrated black mark sensor is
also available. A variety of interfaces (parallel, RS232, USB) guarantees
fast integration with existing systems.
