[Outline] This command is used in Page mode to specify the vertical position of characters
at the data mapping start position as an absolute value measured from the start
point. The vertical position of a character at the next data mapping start position
will be at a distance of [(nL + nH ( 256) ( basic calculation pitch] inches away from
the start point.
[Caution] This command is ignored when Page mode is not selected.
Any specification of absolute vertical position out of the printable area is
ignored.
The horizontal position of a character at the data mapping start position is not
moved.
The start point used as the reference is specified by ESC T.
Depending on the start point specified by ESC T, this command acts as follows:
(1) If the start point is the top left or bottom right, the command specifies the
absolute position in the paper feed direction (the character's top-bottom
direction), using the vertical basic calculation pitch (y).
(2) If the start point is the top right or bottom left, the command specifies the
absolute position in the direction perpendicular to the paper feed (the
character's top-bottom direction) using the horizontal basic calculation
pitch (x).
The basic calculation pitch is set by GS P.
Fractions resulting from calculations are corrected with the minimum pitch of
the mechanism, and the remainder is omitted.
