3-6 Disassembly and Assembly of Case U, Front Cover and
Operation Panel PCB
The disassembly procedure is explained mainly. When assembling the parts, follow the disassembly
procedure in reverse.
♦ Removing the Lever Cover, Case U and Knob N
1) In the case of rewinder model, remove the lever cover.
* Pull the lever cover strongly to remove it.
2) Remove screws A (6 pcs.) on the bottom, and remove case U from the body chassis.
* In the case of standard model, remove case U with the platen chassis and the auto cutter
opened; in the case of rewinder model, remove case U with the cutter chassis opened.
* Open the front cover and pull the sides of case N outwards when removing case U.
* Widen the opening for the power switch on case U and unhook the power switch.
* Raise case U a little and pull the operation panel FFC out of the connector.
3) In the case of standard model, remove knob N from case U; in the case of rewinder model,
remove knob R from case U.
* Press the claw at the knob inwards and pull it out upwards.
