3-1 Precautions in Maintenance
3-2 Service Tools
The following service tools are required for replacement of units, etc. in the field.
• Slotted screwdriver (small)
• Phillips screwdriver (M1.7, M2, M3, M4)
• Thickness gauge (t = 0.5 mm, 0.55 mm, 0.6 mm)
• Tweezers
• Long-nose pliers
•Nippers
• Soldering iron
• Multimeter
• Pliers
CAUTION
• When performing disassembly, assembly or adjustment, provide static protection and
release static electricity from your body to protect printed circuit boards, etc. from
damage due to static electricity.
• When performing disassembly, assembly or adjustment, unplug the power cord of the
printer from the service outlet to avoid shock hazards.
