6-7 Maintenance Function for Service
Under the condition that the front and rear covers are open, hold down FEED switch while turning on
the printer to activate maintenance mode for service.
Status: Offline
LED indication: POWER LED flashes at 0.3 second intervals ( ). P.OUT and
ERROR LEDs are off.
In this state, load paper and close the front and rear covers. Then, select the function by pressing
FEED switch the following number of times.
Types of the maintenance functions for service
(1) Busy condition check mode
Pressing FEED switch 0 times: POWER LED flashes at 0.3 second intervals ( ).
P.OUT and ERROR LEDs are off.
(2) ROM rewrite receiving mode
Pressing FEED switch 1 time: POWER and P.OUT LEDs flash at 0.3 second intervals
( ). ERROR LED is off.
(3) ROM rewrite sending mode
Press FEED switch 2 times: POWER, P.OUT, and ERROR LEDs flash at 0.3 second
intervals ( ).
(4) Printing column misalignment adjustment mode
Pressing FEED switch 3 times: POWER and ERROR LEDs flash at 0.3 second intervals
( ). P.OUT LED is off.
(5) Drawer check mode
Pressing FEED switch 4 times: POWER and P.OUT LEDs are on and ERROR LED is off.
(6) Maintenance sending/receiving mode
Pressing FEED switch 5 times: POWER, P.OUT and ERROR LEDs flash alternately.
