Chapter 3 Installing the Module
Installing a Supervisor Engine or a Switching Module
You should install switching-module filler plates (Cisco part number
800-00292-01) in any empty slots to maintain consistent airflow through the
switch chassis.
Caution To prevent ESD damage, handle modules by the carrier edges only.
Caution During this procedure, wear grounding wrist straps to avoid ESD damage to the
module.
Warning Invisible laser radiation may be emitted from disconnected fibers or
connectors. Do not stare into beams or view directly with optical instruments.
