Configuring a VPN Using the VPN Module

Configuring a VPN Access Port Connection

This section describes how to configure the VPN module with an access port connection to the WAN

router (see Figure 10).

Note In the following example, the VPN module is installed in slot 5 (Gigabit Ethernet interfaces 5/1 and 5/2).

To configure an access port connection to the WAN router, follow these steps:

Step 1 Create an IKE policy, if necessary.

Step 2 Create a preshared key entry, if necessary.

Step 3 Create an ACL.

Step 4 Create a crypto map.
