Table 2-16 lists the approximate number of each resource supported in each of the dual IPv4-and IPv6
templates for a desktop switch.
Examples This example shows how to configure the access template on a switch:
Switch(config)# sdm prefer access
Switch(config)# exit
Switch# reload
This example shows how to configure the routing template on a switch:
Switch(config)# sdm prefer routing
Switch(config)# exit
Switch# reload
This example shows how to configure the dual IPv4-and-IPv6 default template on a switch:
Switch(config)# sdm prefer dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 default
Switch(config)# exit
Switch# reload
This example shows how to change a switch template to the default template.
Switch(config)# no sdm prefer
Switch(config)# exit
Switch# reload
You can verify your settings by entering the show sdm prefer privileged EXEC command.

show sdm prefer Displays the current SDM template in use or displays the templates that can
be used, with approximate resource allocation per feature.
