Managing Application Acceleration
Note For a WAAS Express device, all policies are grouped under the waas_global category.
For a list of predefined policies, see Appendix 1, “Predefined Optimization Policy.

Step 3
Modify the position of the optimization policy in any of the following ways:
Select the policy you would like to move and use the up and down arrow ( ) icons in the
taskbar to move that policy higher or lower in the list.
Select the policy you would like to move and use the Move To button to specify the exact position.
Select the policy and drag and drop it into the desired position
Note The Save Moved Rows icon must be clicked to save the new policy positions.
You can also create a new optimization policy at a particular position by selecting the policy above the
location and then clicking the Insert button.
If a device goes through all the policies in the list without making a match, then the WAAS device passes
through the traffic unoptimized.
Note For a WAAS Express device, the class-default policy should be last. This policy cannot be
modified or deleted.
Step 4 Click the Save Moved Rows icon to save any changes you made to policy positions.
Step 5 If you determine that a policy is not needed, follow these steps to delete the policy:
a. Select the policy you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon in the taskbar.
