Configuring a Wireless Modem Card
Warning
Do not locate the transverter near overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits,
or where it can come into contact with such circuits. (See Figure 28.) When installing the
transverter, take extreme care not to come into contact with such circuits, as they may cause
serious injury and death. To see translations of the warnings that appear in this publication, refer
to the “Regulatory Compliance and Safety Information” section in this document.

Configuring a Wireless Modem Card
After you have installed or replaced a wireless modem card and subsystem, use the Cisco IOS software
command-line interface (CLI) to configure the modem card for operation. Initial startup requirements
and examples, as well as the commands to log in to the router and complete the initial configuration are
described in this section.
Note You must perform a basic configuration of the Cisco uBR7200 series router before configuring the
wireless modem cards. Refer to the Cisco uBR7200 Series Universal Broadband Router Software
Configuration Guide that shipped with your Cisco uBR7200 series router for more information.
