Select RAID Options
Select as follows (these choices are dependent on the number of CPUs installed):
One embedded RAID upgrade option, or
One mezzanine RAID controller, or
One mezzanine RAID controller and one external RAID controller, or
One internal RAID controller, or
One internal RAID controller and one external RAID controller
NOTE: For all valid combinations of embedded RAID, mezzanine RAID, and
internal/external RAID controller combinations, see
RAID Summary, page 55.
Table 5 Available Embedded RAID Options
Product ID (PID) PID Description
RAID Controllers
UCSC-SWRST Onboard Intel RSTe RAID, supporting up to 4 SAS+SATA drives. SAS and SATA
drives can be mixed. This option supports RAID 0, 1, and 10, and operates at 3
Gb/s. Operating system supported is Linux only (no VMware support).
UCSC-RAID-ROM1 Onboard LSI RAID, supporting up to 4 SAS+SATA drives. SAS and SATA drives can
be mixed. This option supports RAID 0, 1, and 10, and operates at 3 Gb/s.
Operating systems supported are Windows and Linux only (no VMware
support).
UCSC-RAID-ROM15 Onboard LSI RAID, supporting up to 4 SAS+SATA drives. SAS and SATA drives can
be mixed. This option supports RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, and operates at 3 Gb/s.
Operating systems supported are Windows and Linux only (no VMware
support).

UCSC-RAID-11-C220 Cisco UCSC RAID SAS 2008M-8i Mezzanine Card (RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, and 50
supported), operating at 6 Gbs.
Supports up to eight internal SAS+SATA drives (limited to four drives for
the C220 M3 LFF chassis). SAS and SATA drives can be mixed.
Factory-configured RAID options available: RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 (see the
RAID PIDs section in this table)
