Note If you do not remove the jumper, the server forces a recovery of the new BIOS every time that
you power cycle the server.
Step 14 Replace the top cover.
Step 15 Replace the server in the rack, replace cables, and then power on the server by pressing the Power
button.
Motherboard Jumpers for Clearing BIOS Settings
You can use the following two jumpers to clear CMOS settings and to clear the BIOS administrator
password.
• Using a Clear BIOS Admin Password Jumper on Header J5C3, page 2-21
• Using a Clear CMOS Jumper on Header J5C2, page 2-22
