The Cisco 12000 Series routers make up a portfolio of
intelligent routing solutions that scale from 2.5 Gbps/slot to
40 Gbps/slot capacity, enabling carrier-class IP/MPLS core
and edge networks.
This portfolio uses advanced silicon and software
technologies, delivering high standards of routing performance and quality of service
capabilities, comprehensive high-availability support, ATM/Frame Relay transport, and an
integrated core and edge feature set. With a fully upgradable modular switch fabric, the
Cisco 12000 Series routers help provide investment protection and low total cost of
