Chapter10 Managing Performance
What Performance Data Is Available?
10.2.1.1 Raw Data Report
Raw Data Report selects and displays statistics data from the database:
Lines
Cards
Ports
PhysLine (physical lines)
IMA
Paths
Connections
Protocol
PNNI Statistics
By using the Raw Data Report, you can:
Select the statistics for the report and time period.
Display statistics information by viewing the object description, for example, port, line, and card,
time period for the statistics collected, statistics type, statistics value, and peak value.
Generate a report for multiple objects, for example, ports of different cards with different statistics.
Export data into .csv format file.
Modify the report parameters and regenerate the report.
List the endpoint for the selected port for the Raw Data Report on connections.
10.2.1.2 Utilization Data Report
Depending on the selected object, the Utilization Data Report lists the top utilized connections, and
ports.
The Utilization Data Report supports Port Utilization Reports and VXSM Connection Reports.
You can use the utilization of an object to display a list of top utilized objects. The utilization for any
object is calculated as a sum of percent bytes from the network and the percent bytes are transmitted to
the network.
10.2.1.3 Performance Data Report
The Performance Data Report provides performance numbers for ports in a graphical format. Port Traffic
Summary performance report types are supported.
All the performance numbers are given as an average over the time period. The following performance
percentages are plotted:
Total number of cells received
Total number of cells transmitted
Time in service
