Cisco Prime Infrastructure
Cisco Prime Infrastructure provides complete lifecycle management of converged wired and wireless networks. It integrates
Cisco Prime LAN Management Solutions (LMS) and Cisco Prime Network Control System (NCS) into a single bundle for
simplified ordering and license management. Cisco Prime Infrastructure includes the following two products: Cisco Prime
Network Control System (NCS), which provides converged user and access management, complete wireless lifecycle
management, and integrated configuration and monitoring of branch office routers; and Cisco Prime LAN Management Solution
(LMS), which delivers simplified management of Cisco Borderless Networks and reduce operational costs by aligning network
management functionality to the way network operators do their jobs. Cisco Prime Infrastructure provides converged management
for ease of monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting; improved configuration, change, and compliance management for lower TCO;
similar look and feel for an improved user experience and workflow management. Cisco Prime simplifies network management,
improves operations efficiency, reduces errors, and makes the delivery of network services more predictable.
Cisco Prime™ LAN Management Solution (LMS), offered as part of Cisco Prime Infrastructure, delivers powerful network lifecycle
management by simplifying the configuration, compliance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration of Cisco® networks. This
innovative solution offers end-to-end management for business-critical technologies and services, such as medianet, Cisco
TrustSec™, and Cisco EnergyWise™. Cisco Prime LMS improves the overall user experience, providing new workflows that are built
on functional partitioning and that align the product with the way network operators do their jobs. Once installed, prepackaged
monitoring and troubleshooting dashboards provide actionable information to quickly isolate and fix network problems before they
affect services. Additionally, an upgradable and customizable compliance engine checks device configurations against a broad
variety of regulatory, IT, corporate governance, and technology policies. Work centers provide a single area where guided workflows
give step-by-step instructions to help operators quickly provision, monitor, and manage new Cisco value-added technologies and
solutions, such as medianet, Cisco EnergyWise, Cisco TrustSec, Auto Smartports, and Smart Install.
Cisco® Prime Network Control System (NCS), the industry's most comprehensive management platform, delivers converged user,
access and Identity management, with complete visibility into endpoint connectivity - regardless of device, network, or location.
This speeds troubleshooting for the most reported customer pain point - network problems related to client devices. Cisco Prime
NCS also provides monitoring of endpoint security policy through integration with Cisco identity Services Engine (ISE) to deliver
visibility into compliance based on real-time contextual information from the network, users, and devices across the entire wired
and wireless access network.
