Local Craft Interface (LCI)
The first display represents the chassis
and contained hardware. Drill down via
the tree view or “double click” on a
module opens the device control screen.

The Local Craft Interface is a DB9F connector
found on the front of each and every Prisma II
and XD chassis. This serial port is addressed
via a terminal type program that can be run on
a laptop or other PC. A serial cable is
connected to this port and the serial port of the
PC. The application can poll all the hardware in
the rack returning current configuration and
alarm information
