Chapter 3 CiscoIPPhone XML Objects
XML Object Definitions
Although several codecs are listed within the schema, only the codecs G711, G729 and G722 are
currently supported.
Changes in XML Object
The following are the changes in the CiscoIPPhoneIconFileMenu XML object:
The CiscoIPPhoneIconFileMenu schema is updated to allow an IconIndex attribute in the <Title>
element.
A new Resource URI attribute is introduced for the <URL> element of the <IconItem> element. This
Resource URI can be used in place of the HTTP URL.
The Resource URI identifies the icons in the <IconItems>. When a phone parses the <URL> element
in <IconItem>, it looks for the Resource URI. If the Resource URI is present, the phone validates it
against the valid Resource Icon values. If the validation is successful then it uses the icon specified
by the Resource URI. If the Resource URI is not present or if it fails the validation against a
recognized Icon value, then a default unknown-icon image is used.
The valid Resource icon values are listed in Valid Resource Icon Names, page 3-23.
Schema Definition
The definition of the CiscoIPPhoneIconFileMenu schema remains the same except for the <Title>
element and the new IconIndex attribute specified as follows:
<xsd:complexType name="Title">
<xsd:attribute name="IconIndex" type="xsd:unsignedShort" use="optional"/>
</xsd:complexType>
