The dial shelf and router shelf run separate Cisco IOS images:

Both images must be from the same Cisco IOS Release. They
must
match. In this case study, the
Cisco IOS release is 12.0(4)XL1.

The router shelf’s image is in the Cisco 7206’s Flash memory. It begins with “c5800.” The dial
shelf’s image is in the DSC card. It begins with “dsc.”
On the router shelf, check the Cisco IOS image, uptime, and restart reason:
