To configure the BGP routing process, use the router bgp command in global configuration mode. To
remove a routing process, use the no form of this command.
router bgp autonomous-system-number
no router bgp autonomous-system-number
Syntax Description
Command Default No BGP routing process is configured by default.
Command Modes Global configuration (config)
Command History
autonomous-system-number Number of an autonomous system that identifies the router to other
BGP routers and tags the routing information that is passed along.
Valid values are 1 to 65535.
