Description
The Multimedia Stretch
Tap Twisted Pair Module (TPM)
converts a Scientific-Atlanta Multimedia Stretch Tap
Technician Access product from coax drop powering to
twisted pair port-powering.
Our patent-pending TPM is available in 2/4- and 8-way
versions, and is designed to safely provide twisted pair power
distribution to individual subscriber drops. Each port can be
activated and current limited individually, ensuring the overall
network is isolated from potential ground faults and other AC
power concerns. The use of insulation displacement
connectors to aid in the connection of drop wires allows the
twisted pairs to be installed without the use of stripping tools,
thereby saving time and ensuring a consistent connection.
The AC circuit in the TPM has been specially designed to
handle current surges while still preventing entry of ingress
signals into the network via the twisted pair wires.
Features
Fully compatible with Scientific-Atlanta’s Multimedia Stretch Tap – Technician Access product family
Universal non-dB sensitive design minimizes inventory management concerns
High performance RFI circuit prevents the entry of ingress signals into the network via the twisted pair wires
Twisted pair connections to TPM use insulation displacement connectors, thus saving time and ensuring a
consistent connection
Power activation and current limiting on a per port basis for enhanced network reliability
Available in 2/4- and 8- way versions
