Task 3: Adding a Route Pattern
In this task, you create a route pattern which defines a specific dial pattern or patterns that
should be sent to the RMX SIP trunk created in Task 2 above. Video calls are an automatic
negotiation as part of the call setup.
Note: Using the Route Groups and Route Lists
If your CUCM implementation uses the Route Group, Route List construct, it is also
possible to add the RMX SIP trunk to that construct. Associating the SIP trunk directly to
a Route Pattern is shown here for simplicity.
To add a route pattern:
1 Navigate to Call Routing > Route/Hunt > Route Pattern.
2 Click Add New.
3 Add a route pattern representing a single E.164 conference extension or range of
extensions available on the RMX system.
a In the Route Pattern field, enter a name for the pattern. This example uses 3XXX.
b From the Gateway/Route List dropdown, select the SIP Trunk you created in Task 2.
c Fill in all other pertinent information for your network, such as Route Partition or
Calling Party Transformations if any digit manipulation is required.
d In the Call Classification field, select OnNet.
