show platform summary is important for showing data that no other IGESM command can
show, such as that certain options are configured on the Management Module.
Figure 8-4 illustrates some of the important attributes from this command.

show logging
Basically a local repository for events that have occurred on the switch, show logging is a
FIFO buffer that keeps track of console messages and other activity. The buffer can be
configured to be larger or smaller.
Look here for anything unusual or unexpected (such as links going down when they should
not or link state group changes) that may have occurred in the past.
